Adjust Your Mind And Take Control Of Your Life
Do you feel like your life is not going the way you want it to go? Do you wonder why the same bad things keep happening to you? Why you are caught in cycles; situations have the same outcome over and over again, and you feel like you have little or no control over your life. The reason why the output is always the same, never better, is that the input is the same. You know the saying “Garbage In, Garbage Out”. Your thoughts work with the same principle.
You may change the methodology, the place, the time, the deal, the car, and anything external that you may think of but if you don’t change your mind, the results will always be the same because even though everything on the outside and around you has changed, you haven’t. Sometimes, the only thing wrong is your mentality and the way you perceive things; all it takes is a change in mind to take control and reap the best out of your life. A bad mentality and some bad characteristics are internal, and they can’t be seen. You alone can be the only one to know how you feel about something. For example, you might be jealous of someone, and that may be the reason why you work so hard or why you can never be happy. Such a mentality can destroy you and lead you down a deadly path.
. It is necessary to review your reasons for doing the things you do and adjust your mind in the right direction. Never allow jealousy to be the force that drives you; take control of your life!
In our day-to-day lives, admittedly, we’ve all been myopic more often than not. Pursuing the road less traveled has never been for everyone. Discoveries and great inventions are a brainchild of looking further than your eyes can see or at least trying to. If you want nothing unique to see the light of day, do what the ordinary man on the street is doing; opportunities are found by those who are daring and think differently. Opportunities are everywhere, but we can only see them if we see things from a different light, and if we adjust our minds and think out of the box. Refuse to conform and to be comfortable with the norm, seek after a change, and take control of your life.
Talent and passion alone cannot get you to the top; you need to have the right mindset as well. Your thoughts have to be inclined in the right direction. You might get a good deal or a good opportunity, but you won’t be able to keep it if you don’t have the right mindset, your mentality will corrupt every good thing that comes your way. For most of us, it is hard to admit when we are wrong or doing something the wrong way. Accepting that you’re not infallible is the first step to improving yourself. Your mind may have led you astray a couple of times, but there’s power in chastisement and correction.
The process of correction is pretty sour, especially if it comes from another person. When you’re going through something, you might not have a clear view of what’s going on, and when you’re headed and only a person observing from the outside can truly see, so allow yourself to be corrected by someone else. Adjusting and correcting is not always pleasant, but it’s a process you must go through to improve yourself and your produce. In the short run, it may feel as if correction is slowing down your progress, but in the long run, you will see that it helped you to be better.
Power is a game-changer, it unlocks an array of opportunities like in the case of a proverbial politician, a quantifiable portion of the citizenry sadly lose reason, control, and decency upon seizing power. People often think that power corrupts, but that is not always the case. In essence, what it does is that it liberates the true self after years of suppression and dormancy- For you can be whoever you want the moment you get into the corridors of power. Its common knowledge that power affords power holders numerous benefits; taking decisive action is one of them. Never be one to downplay the consequences of awakening the beast, rather take action to tame him. Adjust your mind and take control of your life; if not, you will find yourself a slave of the power you once fancied. If you don’t control power, it will control you.
Some situations leave us bitter and change our perspective of the world; we are left worse off than we originally were. When faced with that, we have got to stop, reflect, and find ourselves again. Don’t let what you’ve gone through negatively define your mentality and outlook on life; always go back to default settings. Find who you were before that heartbreak. Even when brokenness gets you off track and takes your focus away from what’s important and where you are headed, allow yourself to breathe, let yourself heal before continuing. You’ll cover more ground walking with a healed leg than limping on a broken one; you can’t run with a broken leg.
As humans, emotional outbursts are one of the ways we confront situations, or rather they are often our reaction to any stressor. What I know of emotions is that they are normally deficient of reason and logic; a decision is way better than emotions. Decide to be better every day rather than tearfully regret an action you’ve taken. An emotional response does not equate to a change of mind and heart; emotions can be deceptive. You can cry in repentance over something but still do it tomorrow, so other than being emotional about a certain cause, be rational and decide a way forward. Always seek to adjust your mind and to improve yourself in every way and take charge of your life. www.AboveAllHealing.com
